Our client, a renowned consultancy within the civil engineering sector, is currently seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on water infrastructure projects, with a particular emphasis on pipelines in Yorkshire and UU regions.

• Designing and overseeing water infrastructure projects, including pipelines
• Preparing detailed civil designs and engineering calculations
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution
• Conducting site assessments and inspections as required
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring junior engineers
• Utilising industry-specific software for design and project management tasks
• Contributing to the preparation of technical reports and documentation

• Expertise in civil engineering design, particularly within the water sector
• Proficiency in designing water infrastructure and pipeline projects
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience with relevant design and project management software
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
