As a Construction Secretary, you will provide essential administrative support to our busy developments and office-based teams. You will ensure efficient handling of documentation, communication with stakeholders, and smooth coordination of site operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to construction managers and site teams
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and meeting minutes
- Maintain and update project documentation and drawing registers
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments
- Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel where required
- Support the preparation and maintenance of Health & Safety files and training records
- Process purchase orders and assist with invoice tracking and site expenditure
- Assist with document control and ensure all files are accurately stored and easy to retrieve
- Previous experience in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably within construction or a related industry
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with document control systems is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Knowledge of construction terms and project processes is desirable
