We're now looking for an established Assistant Buyer experience who is competent in managing suppliers, developing newness, negotiating prices
Key roles and responsibilities:
Supporting Buying with prices and development
Managing design overviews and weekly summaries of product for different platforms
Supporting BAA management and priorities
Managing own category with support of Buyer
Analysing weekly trade report and identifying actions
Regular comp shops to identify new and missed opportunities in the range
Liaising with factories to support critical path management
Attending weekly fit sessions with QC and design to establish best fits and quality
Skills required:
Relevant buying experience in the fashion industry to a similar level
Great communication skills - you will be co ordinating with teams such as Merchandising, Design, QC, Studio
Commercially aware - how to interpret and adapt market trends to the customer to maximise sales
Keen interest in fashion and trends
Ability to work independently to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
Driven with a strong sense of initiative
