Are you an Electrochemist who’s based in the North of England or Scotland? Are you looking for a new challenge?
A growing, innovative organisation offers a wide range of electrochemistry tools, including instruments used in academic and industrial laboratories, are currently looking to hire a Sales Specialist who will be responsible for driving sales for the company’s product portfolio across the North of the UK.
With a global reach supported by subsidiaries and distributors, the company emphasises sustainability and innovation with recent expansions to its facilities and a renewed commitment to cutting-edge R&D.
You’ll leverage your deep understanding of electrochemical systems to engage with cutting-edge researchers, engineers, and industrial clients, helping them identify the right tools and solutions to advance their work. If you’re keen to work in a role like this, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Build and nurture relationships with academic institutions, research laboratories, and industrial customers.
- Present and demonstrate the company’s product portfolio, emphasizing their application in battery technology and energy research.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with the internal team to deliver exceptional customer support and address technical inquiries.
- Provide market feedback to influence product development and marketing strategies.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
What You’ll Bring:
- An electrochemistry academic (a BSc or higher preferred)
- An interest in working in a career outside of the laboratory working in technical sales
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-oriented mindset with excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Ability to travel within the North of England (2-3 days per week)
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
