Role Information

As an English Tutor, you will support learners in developing their English skills and confidence, guiding them to achieve nationally recognized qualifications. You will work with a nationwide team, creating tailored learning experiences. You will have flexibility, support from subject specialists, and opportunities to bring your creativity into lessons.

We are recruiting a part-time English Tutor within our Maths & English division. The role involves 18.75 hours weekly, broken down as 2 days onsite (09:00am - 5:00pm) and 3.75 hours of admin from home.

Duties:

• Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills English sessions.


• Assess learners’ starting points and needs.


• Plan and deliver tailored lessons.


• Complete Individual Learning Plans with SMART targets.


• Handle administrative tasks.


• Collaborate with colleagues to support retention and achievement.


• Ensure assessments meet requirements.


• Participate in team activities.


• Promote safe practices.


• Engage in CPD.


• Create inspiring learning environments.


• Uphold company values and promote diversity.


• Follow safeguarding and health & safety policies.


• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Essential Qualifications:

• Qualified English tutor (L3 subject specialism)


• At least 2 years of delivery experience


• Hold a PTTLs/AET or equivalent
