Role: Buying Assistant – Part Time
Location: Leeds, LS15 (with hybrid working after completion of training)
Salary: £13,114.40 per annum, plus extensive benefits

The Buying Assistant role is a key role within the commercial team, the candidate will be responsible for all the buying teams administration including, reviewing price challenges and system changes, preparing reports ahead of scheduled meetings, working closely with both manufacturers and wholesalers to source out of stock lines and agree pricing, placing supplier orders and tracking progress. Working cross functionally with other departments including operations, clinical and customer service. The successful candidate will be organised, articulate and confident, with a proven track record in an administrative role and an excellent eye for detail. This is a perfect introduction into a buying role.

What you’ll be doing?
- Processing and expediting purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicating with the buying team and reporting progress
- Meeting set targets for individuals and team to meet business targets
- Working with key teams across the business (customer service, operations & clinical)
- Ensuring system admin is accurate and updated regularly
- Preparing reporting to include stock holding and monthly predicted volumes
- Communicating with the buying team and reporting progress
- Delivering an agreed savings target across the supplier base
- Adhering to an agreed stock holding target across all three sites
- Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly
- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English Grade C or above
- Ability to use Excel at an intermediate level
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, delivering against tight deadlines
- Has previously worked with IT systems
- Experience of working in a people facing role
- Previous experience working in an Administrative Role
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
