About this Opportunity:

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're moving to the next stages of our digital transformation, and it's our job within the Chief Security Office (CSO) to ensure that we keep our customers, colleagues and assets safe from threat.

As a Senior Technical Application Specialist (TAS) in our Digital Certificates team, you'll lead complex technical projects to build certificate automation patterns which can be consumed by technologists across the bank. The role will have the opportunity to tackle exciting topics such as crypto agility, shorter lived certs and quantum readiness as well as finding opportunities to optimise and maximise our certificate estate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and Design Pipelines: Create and maintain robust, secure, and user-friendly certificate automation patterns that can be adopted and consumed by internal users.

  • Coordinate the operation and management of certificate authorities, including succession planning and execution.

  • Recommend and coordinate solution design processes to improve certificate platforms.

  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct detailed root cause analysis for critical issues using scripts and technical expertise.

  • User Mentorship: Guide users on how they can implement certificates securely, and the considerations and standard methodology for issue free management.

  • Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and offer expert consultation on secure certificate implementation.

  • Policy Development: Contribute to IT Security policy development, crafting underlying procedures and monitoring their implementation.

  • Product Specification and Testing: Develop product specifications and design testing procedures and standards.

What you'll need

  • Cloud Experience: Proven experience with cloud technologies is essential.

  • CI/CD experience: Experience with Harness/Argo CD

  • Digital Certificate Management: Extensive experience managing digital certificates and certificate authorities.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep technical knowledge to investigate and resolve critical issues.

  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide team members.
