The purpose of the role is to drive sales and market share growth for the product portfolio within the allocated Local Health Economy's (LHE). To pro-actively identify and recommend opportunities to develop the business in the Respiratory therapy arena.
Customers would be key influencers and decision makers across secondary care within the allocated LHEs and to provide a high level of therapy area expertise, insight and understanding of the NHS environment, to customers and colleagues, so that solutions for NHS customers are identified and change facilitated to benefit both patients and the business. And the achievement of sales targets/growth, Key Performance Indicators and business objectives contained in marketing plans.

This is a direct to headcount position. In the UK, our client employs just over 400 dedicated employees, who are based out of their head office, the Research and Development centre and across the UK as part of our experienced field-based sales teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Introduce robust planning practices at a territory level for our client's product portfolio being promoted by the Division;
- Develop a territory business plan to achieve sales targets. Implement plan, including the use of tracking mechanisms to identify variances to plan and taking appropriate action to eliminate negative variances.
- Develop detailed account plans to influence product awareness, adoption and joint formulary inclusions. These should include call activity plans and how to move customers along the adoption curve.
- Identification of key issues involved in driving usage of promoted products at a local level and provide/facilitate appropriate solutions for meeting these needs.
- Effective planning and prioritisation of weekly activities and ensure the Regional Business Manager is aware of schedules.
- Support pre-launch activity
- Where appropriate, manage the interface between the company and drug formulary committees.
- Develop relationships with local Key Opinion Leaders.
- Support the Endorsement Meetings program within the Salesforce through the sourcing and briefing of appropriate Key Opinion Leaders. Manage the process of KOL slide production and Speaker Contracts in line with company SOPs
- Organise and/or actively participate in meetings at a local level
- Financial management of AV budget to achieve sales targets set out in the business plan The display of high levels of knowledge about the Respiratory Portfolio and the structures and priorities of NHS customers.
- Keeping clinical knowledge updated with regard to all key therapeutic areas in order to competently answer clinical queries from customer.
- Adhere to all regulations contained in the ABPI Code of Practice and fully comply with company policies and procedures (SOPs).
- In line with annual objectives, contribute and support the UK Affiliate in its pursuit to become more sustainable, ensuring that you and/or your teams commit to and deliver at least 2 initiatives each year
Essential Experience:
- ABPI qualified
- Have an outstanding understanding of the NHS and the NHS modernisation agenda.
- A high level of clinical and market knowledge, ideally within the Respiratory therapy area
- Evidence of successfully working with formulary submissions.
- Established record of sales success in previous roles, demonstrating a proven track record in influencing the prescribing and decision making process across hospitals and primary care, through good account management.
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the use of databases
- Good organisational skills, including time management.
- Well-developed business planning skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills eg influencing, networking, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate high level technical knowledge accurately, with impact and influence.
- Driven to deliver to the highest levels and standards, ensuring compliance with the ABPI code at all times.
- Full UK Driving licence
