Daily Rate: GBP150 - GBP220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am 4:00pm

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs (SEN) Teacher to join a specialist school in West Yorkshire that supports children and young people with a range of complex learning needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who require tailored educational approaches and emotional support.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, moderate to severe learning difficulties, and other additional needs
Create a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment
Collaborate with SENCOs, teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs)
Use a range of communication strategies and learning aids to support pupil progress
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, maintaining accurate records
Promote positive behaviour strategies and contribute to behaviour support plans
Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the wider school community
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working in a SEN setting or with children with additional needs
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Patience, resilience and a nurturing approach to teaching
Desirable
Additional qualifications in SEN or relevant training (e.g., Team Teach, PECS, Makaton, etc.)
Experience in supporting students with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
