You don't need a company ping-pong table or beanbags in the boardroom.

You just want to do proper payroll work. In a company that values accuracy over buzzwords, and where "fast-paced" doesn't mean firefighting someone else's mess every day.

This is one of those roles where you actually matter. If you mess it up, 2,800+ people don't get paid properly. And if that idea gives you a bit of a buzz rather than a panic attack, then we're probably onto something.

You'll work directly with the Payroll Manager and a tight-knit team.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Running monthly payroll for ~2,800 employees
• Handling starters, leavers, and everything in between
• Supporting the migration of other business units onto the central payroll system
• Processing IR35 payroll from start to finish
• Working with the external payroll bureau
• Administering pension schemes (including auto enrolment)
• Keeping benefits processing (and payrolling of benefits) up to date
• Answering payroll-related queries without passing the buck
• Updating the P11D system and prepping HMRC submissions
• Producing regular payroll and benefits reports for stakeholders
• Processing third-party payments accurately
• Keeping internal payroll processes lean, current, and compliant

What they're looking for:

• CIPP qualified or similar? Ideal, but experience counts just as much.
• Confident calculating statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc.)
• Experience with IR35, Salary Sacrifice, and NMW compliance
• Good grasp of benefit/pension scheme processing and reconciliation
• You can spot and fix a payroll error before anyone else knows it exists
• You know your way around Excel and can use it to actually solve problems
