Intermediate Python Developer

About the Role
Our client is seeking Intermediate Python Developers to join their expanding consultancy team. As part of a multidisciplinary group, this role focuses on developing, supporting, and maintaining user-centred digital solutions for both public and private sector clients.
This position involves providing technical expertise in software engineering practices, with opportunities to collaborate across teams and contribute to high-quality, user-oriented outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality software solutions aligned with client needs
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of innovative solutions
- Manage software development and deployment pipelines to pre-empt and resolve technical issues
- Present technical concepts, solutions, and progress updates to stakeholders
- Cultivate strong team and stakeholder relationships to ensure effective delivery
- Share and adopt best practices across the engineering team
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with Python programming
- Working knowledge of AWS (preferably in a Serverless context)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in full stack development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and frameworks (e.g. Node.js, React, Angular)
- Containerisation knowledge (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Agile delivery experience, including Scrum, Kanban, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience in designing and building native and web applications at varying scales
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Prior involvement in GOV or NHS projects is highly desirable

Location Flexibility
