Role: Correspondence OfficerContract Length: 12 monthsLocation: Leeds Lateral Office (Hybrid 3 days a week onsite)The Customers and Engagement (C&E) team is a busy team that works with others to deliver excellent customer service to people living and working across Yorkshire. Ensuring we give clear, consistent advice and information on sensitive and emotive issues such as flooding, pollution and regulated sites. We manage a diverse range of requests and correspondence from many different stakeholders and customers including
Members of Parliament and Government Ministers. Main duties are:
- managing correspondence and gathering information in order to provide an accurate and timely response.
- managing and responding to complaints.
- analysing data and running reports.
- providing ministerial briefings.
- leading on high profile and complex work within the team.
- working with others to manage reputational risks.
Additional notes:Strong Written Communication Skills ImportantWe're particularly looking for individuals with proven experience in handling formal correspond-ence—especially complaints or communications with MPs and senior public organisations. A standout candidate might be someone who has worked in an MP’s office on constituency case-work. Given the recent General Election, there may be a number of such professionals currently in the job market.
