We are looking for skilled agile leaders to empower our high-performing teams to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions as we transform the future of DWP services used by millions of people.

We have multiple vacancies in our Working Age Services (WAS) team. The WAS teams are at the forefront of DWP Digital's change agenda, developing smart, user-focused solutions that make a real difference. We are at the heart of major national projects and essential infrastructure, delivering welfare form to claimants, landlords and DWP agents.

You'll lead using Agile frameworks, remove any barriers and utilise key metrics and insights to help us make good decisions and delivery better outcomes.

Our Agile Delivery Managers enable high-performing digital teams to create, build, innovate and deliver. We create psychologically safe spaces where digital experts can be at their best.

It's a complex landscape and you'll need your skills as a persuasive and engaging communicator, and your experience of delivering and solving cross-cutting problems to get the job done.

You'll make sure they have what they need to deliver the best services. You'll identify blockers, and find the best way round through, and over.

You will get the best out of experts in software engineering, process design, user research and user experience design, as well as policy development.

Developing a World-Class Practice.

Our Agile Delivery practice is thriving with over 200 members. We lead a cross-government community which meets once a month to share ideas and discuss emerging trends.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need? How will this be assessed?

Technical Statement:

• Provide evidence of your track record of delivering large scale digital services at pace in complex agile environments involving multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.

Personal Statement:

• Significant demonstrable experience of digital delivery in an agile environment in multiple phases.
• Influential, and able to promote a culture of psychological safety in teams, managing team dynamics. Fostering a continuous improvement environment.
• Extensive experience and proven track record of leading and building stakeholder relationships at multiple levels.
• Significant evidence of having a proactive approach to learning and development of yourself and others.
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience in the use of Agile principles and practices.

The sift panel will use the information in your employment history, personal statement, and technical statement to assess your experience, skills and knowledge against the essential criteria above.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay up to £75,748.
