Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our Building Surveying team based within the Leeds office. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of existing projects and services across a range of sectors and can expect to join a vibrant team and inclusive office, delivering a varied range of building surveying commissions. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled building surveying professional looking to take on a new challenge.

The post holder will assist in generating fees through the management and development of existing and new clients, to contribute towards the achievement of the financial and other objectives of the Building Consultancy Team.

Roles/Responsibilities

• Provide a full building surveying services to external clients of Carter Jonas and in-house where required.
• Provide support and advice to other members of the Building Consultancy Department and assist with workload sharing where necessary.
• Carry out building surveys of all types of commercial buildings and residential properties.
• Preparation of schedules of dilapidations and subsequent negotiations with opposing clients and professional representatives.
• Project management, contract administration and design for refurbishment, conversion, and new build projects for commercial, rural and residential premises.
• Preparation of schedules of condition and subsequent negotiations with opposing client's professional representatives.
  
  

Skills/Experience

• MRICS Building Surveyor.
• Previous industry experience gained within another consultancy or client facing role.
• Good communication skills
• Driving licence
