Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum + Company Bonus + 26 days holiday (+ birthday off)
Working: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (with some flexibility available)
Location: Leeds, Manchester or London. (Hybrid)
1 day per fortnight with the Client and 2 days working from home. GIG Retail’s head office is based in Leeds.

We’re now hiring a Programmatic Lead to take charge of programmatic ad sales and delivery – blending technical expertise, strategic oversight, and hands-on revenue generation to drive success for retail media clients.
What you’ll do:
Revenue Strategy & Delivery
- Own the client programmatic advertising sales strategy – from acquisition through to optimisation
- Drive revenue growth via client SSPs (e.g. Google Ad Manager, AdSense) connecting to DSP demand sources (e.g. DV360, The Trade Desk)
- Define and deliver programmatic data strategy and deal structures (open auction, PMPs, etc)
- Build long term relationships with agency partners, advertisers, and clients
Campaign Execution & Optimisation
- Oversee campaign setup, execution, creative delivery, and ongoing optimisation
- Drive smarter workflows through automation and AI-led solutions
- Test new formats (e.g. video, interactive, playable ads) and push boundaries in engagement
Data-Driven Performance
- Analyse campaign performance and deliver high-impact reports and insights
- Work with the data team to build audience segmentation models and attribution frameworks
- Use tools like Google Analytics to enhance performance
Client & Partner Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to key clients, aligning campaigns with their commercial goals
- Advise on programmatic best practice e.g. brand safety, frequency capping, creative optimisation, etc.
- Stay ahead of trends in programmatic AdTech, and advise on market developments, new platform and partner opportunities
People & Team Growth
- Build and lead a growing programmatic sales team function
- Foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing across the wider media and agency teams
- Champion innovation, testing, and continuous improvement in programmatic delivery
What you’ll bring:
- Commensurate experience in programmatic advertising with a strong agency network
- Proven success in digital media sales, programmatic strategy, and campaign delivery
- Hands-on knowledge of SSPs/DSPs/DMPs, including Ad Manager, AdSense, DV360, Campaign Manager
- Strong analytical and commercial skills – confident using Excel, SQL, GA4, data visualisation and reporting tools
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinker and team leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally degree-qualified (but experience matters more)
