JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Group Secretariat, Entity Management and Optimisation
SALARY: £83,411 - £98,130
LOCATION(S): Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Halifax and Leeds
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

We provide expert legal & governance advice and support to businesses and functions across the Group in service of our purpose to Help Britain Prosper.
You'll be a senior manager in our newly created Entity Management and Optimisation team which sits within the Corporate Governance team. Reporting to the Head of Group Secretariat, Entity Management and Optimisation, this role entails working in a team of about 14 FTE with team accountability for:
- setting the standards for Groupwide entity management as well as overseeing and delivering proportionate, effective and tech-enabled end-to-end corporate governance for a diverse range of Group subsidiary entities.
- leading continuous improvement and automation for corporate governance and legal processes.
- managing governance for the Legal & Secretariat function including robust L&S horizon scanning and colleague training.
- being responsible for overseeing service provision from key L&S suppliers for entity management and shareholding disclosure services.
- supporting L&S change activity with a particular focus on leveraging technology and innovation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What we need from you!
We're looking for a colleague with experience in corporate governance, delivering change, technology implementation and process optimisation to contribute to our team of 14 experienced colleagues who have a variety of skills in legal, corporate governance, change management, process optimisation and innovation and transformation.
As a senior member of the team, you'll:
- Be a highly motivated colleague who displays positive leadership behaviours and who'll play a key role in enabling the delivery of first-class, technology enabled.
- governance and company secretarial services, by engaging with and authoritatively supporting stakeholders to ensure that the Group's entities meet corporate governance, legal and regulatory requirements; and
- legal and secretariat processes to support the L&S function in its provision of legal and corporate governance services to the Group.
- Have a sound understanding of the overall legal and regulatory environment in which the Group operates.
- Be passionate about change with experience of implementing initiatives to drive productivity, efficiency and optimise business processes. You'll have the opportunity to support the delivery of change in the Corporate Governance team and the wider L&S function.
- Demonstrate ability to handle high-profile priorities simultaneously and an ability to think in an agile way, and quickly 'join the dots' between discrete pieces of information.
- Be a confident and credible communicator and writer, able to influence and give concise, persuasive advice.
- Be versatile and be able to work at pace.
- Have excellent people skills and a passion for building relationships and developing colleagues.
