A leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy division, supporting a flagship National Grid transmission project in Yorkshire.

The Energy division delivers major Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects for regulated and private clients, with a strong track record across high-voltage transmission and distribution schemes. With a substantial forward order book and long-term framework agreements in place, this is an opportunity to join a stable, forward-thinking contractor delivering nationally significant works.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure scheme, ensuring robust governance, financial control and contractual compliance across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring site teams adhere to group commercial procedures and governance standards
• Leading internal commercial reporting and contributing to project performance reviews
• Preparing and managing valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation in line with contract requirements
• Overseeing cost reporting to the client with contractually compliant detail
• Managing subcontract and material procurement schedules
• Administering subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisition through to final account agreement
• Undertaking contract administration duties, including change management and maintaining associated commercial registers
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering initiatives
• Ensuring accurate cost allocation and coding aligned to internal and external requirements
• Measurement of quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement

About You
• HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
• Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
• Experience within civil engineering, utilities, or major infrastructure projects
• RICS / ICES registered or actively working towards chartership
• Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
