Operations Manager - #2081912

A well-established manufacturer based in North Leeds is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to take full ownership of their production operation, covering fabrication, welding, machining and assembly.

The Operations Manager Role

• Full operational oversight across fabrication, welding, machining and assembly departments
• Leading and developing a shop floor team, setting the tone for performance and culture
• Driving continuous improvement across production processes, quality and throughput
• Working closely with senior leadership on capacity planning, resourcing and cost control
• Taking accountability for on-time delivery against demanding customer requirements
• Supporting cross-functional relationships with procurement, quality and customer-facing teams

The Person

This role needs more than a capable operator. The right Operations Manager will be someone who genuinely leads people, not just manages them. Someone who builds trust on the shop floor, holds people to account fairly and creates a team that wants to perform.

• Experienced Operations Manager or senior production leader from a fabrication, welding, machining or assembly background
• Used to working within a quality-led, process-driven manufacturing environment where standards are genuinely held to
• A strong and credible people leader with a track record of developing teams and improving performance
• Proven ability to problem solve under pressure and make decisions with confidence
• A consistent record of delivering against targets in a customer-focused operation
• Based within a commutable distance of North Leeds
