Randstad Education is searching for patient, energetic, and nurturing Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistants to join our supply team in Leeds. If you specialise in working with Nursery and Reception-aged children and want a role that adapts to your lifestyle, this is the perfect opportunity for the new school year.

The Role

As a supply EYFS TA, you will be supporting Leeds schools with their youngest pupils, ensuring a safe, creative, and stimulating environment where children learn through play.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interactive Learning: Lead and support play-based learning activities mapped to the EYFS framework.

  • Phonics & Early Literacy: Assist with early phonics (such as Read Write Inc.) and basic numeracy groups.

  • Child Welfare: Help manage classroom routines, outdoor play safety, and personal care where required.

  • Observations: Assist the class teacher in tracking development milestones and keeping accurate observations.

Requirements
  • Essential: Applicants must have previous UK experience working in an EYFS or primary school setting.

  • A deep understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.

  • An energetic, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of keeping up with active little learners.

  • An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
