Office Assistant/Administrator

  • Leeds, LS11
  • Full Time, Permanent | 37 Hours Per Week (shift pattern negotiable)
  • Salary circa £30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an organised and proactive Office Assistant to provide essential administrative support across the business. This varied role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the team, supporting office operations, maintaining company records, coordinating key administrative activities, and helping to manage company assets and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and clerical support across the business
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls professionally
  • Maintain accurate records and perform data entry using computerised systems
  • Manage office documentation, filing systems, and company records
  • Control, monitor, and maintain records of company-owned assets, equipment, and plant
  • Track asset allocation, maintenance schedules, and inventory records
  • Organise and monitor maintenance requirements for fleet vehicles
  • Support payroll and administrative processes where required
  • Assist with the coordination of day-to-day office activities
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to support operational efficiency
  • Ensure all records and information are maintained accurately and confidentially

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience within an Office Assistant, Administrator, or Office Support role is essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and confident telephone manner
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience using Sage and payroll systems would be advantageous
  • Experience maintaining records, tracking assets, or managing company inventories would be beneficial
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to work
