MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The role is a hybrid role, with the majority of time being spent in the office with the wider team to learn and ask questions.
Salary £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
Role Summary:
As a Paraplanner at LW, you will provide technical research services to the Financial Planners and ensure the preparation of client advice is of the highest quality and delivered efficiently, while mitigating any risks to the business and assisting LW to achieve its goals.
Main Activities (not limited to):
· Working alongside the Financial Planners in the provision and review of suitable investment propositions
· Discuss client objectives with the relevant financial planner, identifying and obtaining necessary client information to prepare the necessary suitability checks
· Understand clients overall financial position from the fact finds
· Maintain high standards of information analysis and undertake comparative research to make suitable recommendations in line with identified client needs
· Accurately prepare suitability reports to target deadlines
· Undertake periodic reviews of existing client portfolio’s, using appropriate software
· Complete technical research as part of the existing arrangement review process
· Maintain a working knowledge of Retail Investment Products
· Competently liaise with Product Providers
· Ensure all client queries are appropriately investigated and accurate responses given
· Full compliance with FCA and other regulations, FSMA, the Consumer Duty, fair treatment of clients (embracing amongst other things service excellence, suitability of advice and protection of clients’ assets)
· Cashflow modelling
· Identify opportunities/skills gaps and increase knowledge through appropriate training
· Maintain an awareness of all relevant trends in the private client wealth management sector and financial services as a whole, developing and following through policy changes arising from insights gained
· Participating in and contributing to Paraplanner meetings and client meetings where appropriate
· Ensure accuracy in using appropriate systems and controls and adhering to KPIs agreed
