We’re looking for an experienced and commercially focused Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team at RTS Infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on the commercial management of projects, ensuring they’re delivered efficiently, within budget, and in line with contractual requirements.

You’ll:

• Lead the commercial management of projects from start to finish
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost value reconciliations
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
• Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including negotiation and payments
• Oversee variations, change control processes, and dispute resolution
• Monitor cash flow and support financial performance
• Provide commercial input into project planning and delivery
• Support bids and tender processes, including pricing and reviews
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
• Mentor and support junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
• Drive continuous improvement across commercial processes

We’re keen to hear from detail-oriented professionals with strong commercial awareness and a collaborative approach.

You’ll ideally have:

• Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within construction, infrastructure, or rail
• Strong understanding of contract management and commercial processes
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Good IT skills and experience with commercial/costing systems

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) – essential
