Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a specialist medical device manufacturer in Leeds who are looking for a Specialist Trainer.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with hands-on medical device manufacturing experience who enjoys coaching, mentoring and developing others whilst remaining actively involved in production activities.
As Specialist Trainer, you will play a critical role in ensuring new and existing team members are trained to the highest standards in transcatheter heart valve assembly processes.
Working closely with Production Team Leaders and Quality teams, you will be responsible for delivering structured training programmes, monitoring training effectiveness, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
You will act as a technical expert and role model within the team, helping to develop capability, drive quality standards and embed best practice throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver structured onboarding and cross-training programmes for manufacturing technicians.
- Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring within a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Monitor and track training effectiveness through training KPIs and competency assessments.
- Support technicians in developing the skills required to achieve high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Ensure training records, production documentation and quality records are completed accurately and compliantly.
- Act as a key point of contact for technical and process-related queries.
- Support investigations, root cause analysis, CAPA and continuous improvement activities.
- Work closely with Production, Quality and Engineering teams to support manufacturing objectives.
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding and ongoing employee development activities.
- Support the introduction of new products, process improvements and manufacturing changes.
- Promote a strong culture of quality, compliance, safety and teamwork throughout the organisation.
We are keen to speak with individuals who combine strong technical manufacturing experience with a genuine passion for developing people.
You will ideally have:
- Experience within a medical device, life sciences, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience working within cleanroom operations..
- Experience training, mentoring or coaching colleagues on technical processes and procedures.
- Must have training qualifications
- Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
- The ability to work independently whilst supporting wider team objectives.
