The Role

• The AI Specialist is an expert practitioner responsible for delivering complex AI solutions across design, build, data science, and deployment activities.
• Operating within the AI Centre of Enablement, the role supports the AI Foundry delivery team by providing deep technical expertise and hands on contribution to advanced AI initiatives.
• The role operates across multiple AI domains, including generative AI, agentic AI, and data driven intelligence, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and responsibly deployed.
• Through technical leadership and specialist insight, the role accelerates the organisation’s ability to adopt and operationalise advanced AI capabilities.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide specialist technical expertise across AI solution design, development, and deployment, supporting complex and high impact AI initiatives.
• Design and implement advanced AI capabilities by contributing hands on to solutions involving large language models, agentic architectures, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and automation workflows.
• Guide solution patterns and technical approaches by advising on best practices for generative AI, data driven intelligence, and enterprise AI architectures within the Microsoft AI ecosystem.
• Support data science and model optimisation activities by assessing data readiness, evaluating model performance, and improving accuracy, consistency, and reliability of AI outputs.
• Develop reusable AI assets including prompt libraries, connectors, templates, and technical frameworks to accelerate delivery across the AI Foundry.
• Act as a technical authority and mentor by supporting AI Product Developers, AI Design Analysts, and AI Test Leads through guidance, coaching, and hands on problem solving.
• Embed operational and responsible AI practices by supporting MLOps, monitoring, lifecycle management, and adherence to responsible AI principles and governance standards.
