About the Role

As an SEN Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils with special educational needs to access learning, build confidence, and thrive both academically and socially.

Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
  • Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
  • Support the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress
  • Promote independence and resilience in all learners
About You

  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Is motivated and keen to develop a career in education
  • Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Brings a positive and flexible approach to supporting pupils
  • Is eager to learn and engage with ongoing training

Experience with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs) is desirable but not essential-your attitude and commitment are what matter most.

What We Offer
  • A supportive and welcoming school community
  • Opportunities to work alongside experienced staff and SEN specialists
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional development (CPD)
  • Valuable experience for those considering a teaching career or further study
  • A rewarding role where you can truly see the impact of your work
