Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.

  • Implement structured individual education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.

  • Assist in adapting classroom materials and activities to make the curriculum fully accessible.

  • Foster emotional regulation, resilience, and independence through positive reinforcement.

  • Supervise pupils during transition times, breaks, and sensory room sessions.

Requirements for the Role
  • Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), within school or care settings.

  • A compassionate, patient, and highly adaptable approach to managing sensory and behavioural needs.

  • Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to process one).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
