Join A Great Team

Our client is seeking a highly organised and detail-focused Payroll Administrator to join our team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate payroll services.

You will be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish for our care home employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent service across the business. The successful candidate will have strong numerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a small, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process the company's 4-weekly payroll from start to finish.
  • Input and maintain payroll data accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage payroll-related emails and post on a daily basis.
  • Process new starters, leavers, employee amendments, sickness, maternity, and other payroll changes using Sage Payroll.
  • Collate payroll information, perform manual calculations, and produce payroll reports.
  • Download and process HMRC updates, including tax codes and student loan information.
  • Calculate and process third-party payments, including Attachment of Earnings (AOE), CSA payments, and childcare vouchers.
  • Provide payroll support, advice, and guidance to employees, care homes, regional managers, and directors.
  • Maintain the accuracy of payroll data across multiple systems, including Sage Payroll, Coolcare, and People's Pension.
  • Support the Payroll Manager with ad hoc projects and payroll-related activities.
  • Work closely with HR and other departments to improve payroll processes and systems.
  • Ensure pension records are maintained accurately and contributions are submitted to People's Pension on time.
  • Ensure all work complies with company financial policies and procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years' payroll experience, ideally in a high-volume payroll environment.
  • Experience using Sage 50 Payroll (preferred).
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team.
  • Full training on additional systems used within the business.
  • Valuable experience within a growing healthcare organisation.
  • Immediate start available for the right candidate.

If you are an experienced Payroll Administrator looking for your next temporary opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
