Role: RTA & PI Case Handler
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000
Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced RTA & Personal Injury Case Handler to join a well-established and highly regarded claimant law firm based in Leeds City Centre. The firm offers flexible and agile working alongside a genuine commitment to work-life balance.
The successful candidate will manage and proactively progress their own portfolio of Small Claims Track RTA matters from instruction through to settlement, ensuring clients and all relevant parties are kept informed throughout the lifecycle of each case.
Where claims are not capable of settling prior to issue, you will be responsible for drafting and issuing proceedings, preparing witness statements and hearing documentation, and ensuring compliance with all court directions and procedural deadlines. You may also provide support to solicitors within the Personal Injury team on more complex matters under appropriate supervision.
This role requires someone who is committed to delivering an excellent client experience while working towards individual and departmental performance targets in line with agreed service standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience handling OIC and Fast Track RTA claims within a claimant personal injury law firm.
- A good working knowledge of the OIC Portal, MOJ Pre-Action Protocol and the Civil Procedure Rules relating to Low Value Personal Injury Claims.
- Strong client care and communication skills.
- The ability to manage a busy caseload and work effectively towards targets.
- A professional and proactive approach.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.
