Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the end-to-end bid process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a consistently high standard.
  • Writing, editing and refining persuasive bid responses that clearly demonstrate our value proposition.
  • Collaborating with Business Development, Operations and subject matter experts to develop winning solutions.
  • Identifying client priorities and tailoring proposals to address their specific requirements.
  • Producing high-quality submission documents that are compliant, professional and compelling.
  • Supporting the ongoing development of bid content, templates and knowledge libraries.
  • Maintaining excellent stakeholder communication throughout the bid lifecycle.
  • Contributing ideas that continuously improve our bid processes, quality and win rates.

What we're looking for

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a Bid Manager or similar bid writing role, ideally within Facilities Management or another service-led industry.
  • Excellent written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • The confidence to engage with stakeholders across all areas of the business.
  • The ability to identify client drivers and develop tailored, persuasive bid responses.
  • Experience using procurement portals and managing tender submissions.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and online research tools.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to perform under pressure.

Why join SBFM?

In return, you'll benefit from:

  • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays).
  • Free on-site parking.
  • Modern Leeds Head Office with on-site gym.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities.
  • Internal mentoring programme to support your career progression.
  • Regular company social events.
  • Wellbeing initiatives and a supportive team culture.
