Description
The Legal Counsel Banking will be:
- Advising on bridge lending, banking and secured finance transactions.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and ancillary finance documentation.
- Working on transactions from instruction through to completion, including funding and drawdown arrangements.
- Advising on transaction structuring and legal risk allocation.
- Providing commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders across Lending, Credit and Investment teams.
- Identifying and managing legal and regulatory risks associated with lending transactions.
- Developing and maintaining lending documentation, legal precedents and internal processes.
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external advisers.
- Managing multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional standards of accuracy and service delivery.
Profile
The Legal Counsel Banking should be:
- A solicitor with at least 4 years PQE in banking and finance or secured lending.
- Experienced in advising on banking, specialist lending or other finance transactions.
- Skilled in drafting and negotiating finance documentation including facility agreements and security documents.
- Experienced in managing transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Commercially minded with excellent drafting, negotiation and legal analysis skills.
- Able to balance legal, regulatory and commercial considerations effectively.
- Confident managing relationships with clients and senior business stakeholders.
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities within a fast paced environment.
Job Offer
- Salary between £80,000 and £85,000
