Conveyancing Assistant / Conveyancing Administrator
Location: Leeds
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 5:30pm (Office based)
About the Opportunity
An established and well-respected legal practice in Leeds is seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Assistant / Conveyancing Administrator to join its busy Residential Conveyancing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous conveyancing support experience to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting fee earners with residential property transactions, ensuring matters progress efficiently from instruction through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors.
- Opening new client files and carrying out AML and compliance checks.
- Requesting searches, title documents and redemption statements.
- Preparing conveyancing documentation and contract packs.
- Assisting fee earners throughout the exchange and completion process.
- Updating and maintaining accurate records on the case management system.
- Monitoring transaction progress and proactively following up outstanding matters.
- Delivering a high standard of client care and professional communication at all times.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within a Conveyancing Assistant, Conveyancing Administrator or Legal Assistant position.
- Knowledge of residential conveyancing processes, including freehold and leasehold transactions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise competing deadlines.
