The RoleAs a Motor Vehicle Assessor you will:
- Visiting apprentices in their workplaces to observe practical competence and assess their performance against apprenticeship standards.
- Conducting progress reviews with apprentices and employers to monitor development and set clear action plans.
- Supporting apprentices to build and maintain their evidence portfolios using the OneFile e-portfolio system (or a similar platform).
- Assessing workplace evidence through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies and questioning.
- Providing constructive feedback and coaching to help apprentices improve their skills and remain on track.
- Ensuring apprentices are fully prepared for their End-Point Assessment (EPA).
- Liaising regularly with employers to monitor attendance, performance and workplace development.
- Managing a caseload of apprentices, scheduling workplace visits and maintaining accurate assessment records.
- A recognised Assessing (essential).
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent).
- Relevant industry experience within the motor vehicle sector.
- A passion for teaching and developing future automotive professionals.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
