We are working exclusively on behalf of a well-established healthcare business based in Leeds.

We are looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join the finance team at the company's Leeds site.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing the credit control function, managing the sales ledger and ensuring customer accounts are maintained accurately and payments are collected efficiently.

You will lead and support a small team of two, working closely with customers and colleagues across the wider business to resolve account queries, improve cash collection processes and maintain strong financial controls.

• Oversee the day-to-day credit control and sales ledger function.

• Manage and support a team of two credit control/finance professionals.

• Monitor customer accounts and ensure outstanding balances are collected promptly.

• Take ownership of aged debt and implement effective collection strategies.

• Review customer accounts, credit limits and payment terms.

• Maintain accurate customer and sales ledger information.

• Monitor cash collection performance and report on aged debt and key credit metrics.

• Ensure financial information is processed accurately and in a timely manner.

• Identify potential credit risks and escalate issues where appropriate.

• Previous experience within a credit control or credit management environment.

• Experience managing or mentoring a small finance team.

• Strong knowledge of credit control, sales ledger and debt collection processes.

• The ability to manage aged debt and prioritise workload effectively.

• Confidence communicating with customers by telephone and email.

• Confidence learning new systems and processes.
