Join the Leeds Community Equipment Service as a Warehouse Assistant, where you will play a crucial role in providing daily living and nursing equipment to individuals in their homes. This position is essential for helping people live independent and inclusive lives by ensuring the right equipment is delivered and maintained efficiently.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Work closely with various parts of the service to ensure all equipment is in serviceable order and ready for issue.
• Secure, maintain, and operate the warehouse for storing equipment, ensuring smooth facilitation of all deliveries and warehouse activities.
• Assemble low-level equipment such as height-adjustable walking aids following the assessors' instructions and in compliance with manufacturers' guidelines, MHRA standards, and Health and Safety at Work Act.
• Use IT systems to maintain accurate records of all stock movements.
• Conduct stock checks, maintain agreed stock levels, and manage stock replenishment requests to the Business Support team.
• Pick equipment for deliveries and in-store collections, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Good physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling.
• Basic IT skills to manage stock through computer systems.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to undertake necessary training to meet compliance and safety standards.
