We're looking for a Senior Category Manager - Property & FM Procurement to lead a strategically important portfolio supporting one of the UK's largest retail estates. This is an opportunity to influence major investment programmes, build high-value supplier partnerships, and work closely with senior stakeholders across Property, Estates, Construction and Facilities Management.

The Opportunity

You'll own and deliver category strategies across a broad Property & Facilities Management portfolio, driving commercial performance, supplier innovation, operational excellence and long-term value.

Working as a trusted business partner, you'll lead complex sourcing initiatives, shape strategic decisions and support ASDA's ongoing procurement transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned to business and operational priorities.
• Lead complex sourcing programmes, tenders and commercial negotiations.
• Deliver measurable value through cost optimisation, supplier performance improvement and innovation.
• Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Property, Estates, Construction and Operations.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and governance frameworks.
• Support major investment, estate development and transformation programmes.
• Drive procurement best practice, risk management and governance across the category portfolio.
• Embed sustainability and responsible sourcing principles into category strategies.

Profile

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded procurement professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience managing complex Property, Estates or Facilities Management spend categories.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience in Category Management, Procurement or Strategic Sourcing.
• Expertise across Property, FM, Construction, Estates or Workplace Services categories.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• A track record of delivering significant value and procurement outcomes.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong supplier relationship management and performance improvement experience.

Desirable:

• Retail, Infrastructure, Construction or FM sector experience.
• Experience supporting capital projects or estate transformation programmes.
• Knowledge of ESG and sustainable procurement practices.
• CIPS qualification or working towards accreditation.
