Our local authority client based in Leeds are urgently seeking an experienced Finance Administration Assistant.

£13.45 an hour PAYE

30 hours a week

Job Role

As a Finance Administration Assistant, you’ll thrive on being part of a team delivering good outcomes for Adults and Children receiving community equipment.

It’s not about doing repetitive administration tasks but is being involved in a range of activities and closely liaising with Health & Social Care assessors in Leeds City Council and NHS and external suppliers to ensure equipment is ordered and delivered in a timely way.

About the role

As finance Administration Assistant –you’ll will play a key role in co-ordinating the ordering of the supply of equipment to support daily living tasks and independence for both Adult and Children across the Leeds district, and in specialised settings.

Key to this role is the development of good working relationship with suppliers and maintaining the ordering process.

The role is integral to our Leeds Community Equipment team to support and enable people to live safe, independent, and fulfilling lives, supporting health and social care statutory responsibilities. The service is important to the prevention agenda and provides a vital gateway to independence, dignity and wellbeing for people living in the community. The provision of these products supports avoidance of hospital admission, enables safe rapid discharge from hospital and prevents premature take up of care including residential placements.

Knowledge Required:

• Sound knowledge of the range of community equipment available and its role in enabling people to live independent, inclusive lives.
• Awareness of the range of customers likely to use the Leeds Community Equipment Service.
• Of the need to maintain confidentialities.
• An understanding of the role of information in enabling people to make use of available services.
• Computer literate including working experience of all Microsoft office packages and financial systems
• Awareness of the use of databases, email and internet sites

Experience Required:

• Experience of working in a customer service environment
• Experience of providing excellent customer service
• Experience of working with a wide range of performance targets and customer standards.
• Experience of working with successful partnership organisations.
• Experience of producing and disseminating information.
