Location: Leeds
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Our client is a leading Tier One principal contractor delivering multi-disciplinary building and civil engineering projects across the UK. Working with major infrastructure clients, they have built a strong reputation for quality, safety and successful project delivery.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team, supporting the successful delivery of civil engineering projects while managing costs, contracts and commercial performance.
Quantity Surveyor - Position Overview
- Manage the commercial delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring costs are monitored, controlled and delivered in line with contractual requirements.
- Prepare and review commercial reports including valuations, applications, cost reports, CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor contract performance, identify potential financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Manage variations, contractual correspondence and final accounts through to successful completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Support the procurement and management of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Provide commercial support to the wider project team, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, profitably and to a high standard.
Quantity Surveyor - Position Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within a contracting environment.
- BSc Quantity Surveying or a similar relevant qualification.
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a commercial role, ideally within civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of contract management, cost control and commercial reporting.
- Experience working with NEC forms of contract would be advantageous.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage subcontractor and supplier relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Experience within the rail or wider infrastructure sector would be advantageous.
