We're recruiting an experienced Corporate Tax Director to join a growing accountancy practice in Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced corporate tax professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, delivering high-quality advisory services and playing a key role in the continued growth of a tax practice.

You'll manage a varied portfolio of corporate tax advisory work, providing commercially focused advice across areas including business sales and acquisitions, succession planning, share schemes and group restructuring. You'll also work closely with colleagues across the wider firm to identify opportunities and deliver a joined-up service to clients.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver a portfolio of corporate tax advisory projects, acting as a senior point of contact for clients
  • Provide proactive tax planning advice covering succession planning, business sales and acquisitions, share schemes and group restructuring
  • Review tax advisory reports and technical work, ensuring accuracy, quality and commercial relevance
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted tax adviser
  • Manage the commercial aspects of your client portfolio, including fee negotiations, billing and WIP management
  • Coach, mentor and support team members from Tax Trainee through to Senior level
  • Develop the technical and professional skills of junior members of the team
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to deliver integrated client solutions
  • Keep up to date with changes in UK tax legislation and communicate relevant developments to clients and colleagues
  • Identify opportunities to introduce clients to Audit, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning and other specialist advisory services
  • Contribute to business development and practice growth through networking, presentations and technical articles
  • Support process improvements and contribute to the continued development of the tax team
  • Maintain technical expertise through ongoing CPD and professional development


About You

  • ACA and/or CTA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in a Corporate Tax or Mixed Tax role within a UK professional practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation and tax advisory
  • Ability to research and interpret complex areas of tax legislation
  • Experience across a broad range of taxes would be advantageous
  • Strong experience providing commercially focused tax advice to clients
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confident advising clients and working with senior stakeholders
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Previous line management, leadership or supervisory experience
  • Genuine interest in coaching and developing junior team members
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to business development
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service
