This is a rare opportunity for a Corporate Partner in Leeds to take ownership of building a new Corporate offering within an established and growing regional commercial law firm. With support from Partners and Corporate lawyers across the wider business, you will have the platform to develop a team, grow your client base and shape the practice from the ground up.

Our client is a progressive commercial law firm with an established presence across the North of England. The firm has built its reputation around providing commercially focused legal advice, developing long term client relationships and taking a more agile approach than the traditional law firm model.
With a growing team of lawyers and offices across multiple locations, the firm advises businesses ranging from SMEs and entrepreneurs through to larger national and international organisations. Its Corporate practice works across areas including mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, management buyouts, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations and succession planning.
Description
The Corporate Partner will be:
- Building and leading the Corporate practice from the Leeds office
- Developing and managing a strong portfolio of corporate clients
- Using existing contacts and relationships to generate new business
- Advising clients on a broad range of corporate transactions
- Working closely with the existing Corporate team across the firm's other offices
- Working with Partners across Leeds and the wider firm to identify opportunities
- Recruiting, developing and mentoring lawyers as the team grows
- Taking an active role in the strategic development of the Leeds office
- Building strong, long term relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Contributing to the continued growth and profile of the wider firm
Profile
The Corporate Partner should be:
- A solicitor with significant experience in Corporate law
- Currently operating at Legal Director or Partner level
- Experienced across a broad range of corporate transactions
- Able to demonstrate a strong existing network of clients and professional contacts
- Commercially minded with a proven ability to generate and develop new business
- Confident in building and leading a new team
- A strong communicator who can build trusted client relationships
- Comfortable working across a multi office environment
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £120,000 to £170,000
