Senior/ Principal Civil Engineer - #2131297

Our client, a prominent consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Leeds or Newcastle. This role includes secondments into Stantec and involves working on both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects under the IR35 regime.

• Leading and delivering civil engineering projects within the water sector, including both infrastructure and non-infrastructure works
• Providing technical expertise and overseeing project teams to ensure high-quality project delivery
• Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, including secondments into Stantec
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, designs, and specifications
• Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the team
• Maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and project management

• Significant experience in civil engineering, preferably within the water sector
• Strong technical knowledge and experience in both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
• Understanding of IR35 regulations and their implications on contract work
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
