As Sous Chef, you'll support the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef in leading a talented culinary team while ensuring excellence across all food operations.

Working alongside the Executive Head Chef and senior culinary team, you'll play a key role in shaping the food offer across one of Yorkshire's most prestigious venues, delivering everything from premium hospitality and VIP dining experiences to large-scale events and high-profile matchdays. We're looking for a passionate culinary leader who brings energy, creativity and commercial awareness.

What You'll Do:

  • Leading kitchen operations across matchdays, events and hospitality functions
  • Supporting menu development and culinary innovation
  • Delivering exceptional food quality and presentation standards
  • Inspiring, coaching and developing chefs at all levels
  • Managing food safety, HACCP and compliance standards
  • Supporting client tastings and menu presentations
  • Driving profitability through effective food cost control
  • Planning labour requirements and supporting kitchen resourcing
  • Ensuring operational readiness for high-profile events and major fixtures
  • Deputising for the Executive Head Chef and Head Chef when required

What You Bring:

  • Essential Experience
    • Experience within a high-volume hospitality, events, stadium, hotel or banqueting environment
    • Strong background in fine dining, premium hospitality or quality-led catering
    • Proven experience leading and developing kitchen teams
    • Passion for food trends, innovation and menu development
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong financial understanding, including food cost control and margin management
    • Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
  • Desirable
    • Previous Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef experience
    • Experience in stadiums, major events or large-scale hospitality operations
    • Supervising Food Safety Level 3
    • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
    • Experience within contract catering
    • Training and development experience
