Edwards & Pearce Recruitment are working with a large national organisation in the medical space to appoint a Category Manager with services and material procurement experience.
You will be joining a team that operates as business partners across the organisation, working with stakeholders to look for cost savings, ensure an effective procurement and tendering process, and manage the supplier relationships and performance. The department takes a strategic approach towards spend and the suppliers, and you will be tasked with driving improvement and managing internal relationships.

Responsibilities:
* Identifying opportunities for saving or service improvement within the organisation
* Advising internal stakeholders on procurement process, and leading tendering projects
* Negotiating pricing and contract terms
* Managing supplier relationships, and ensuring supplier performance, reducing risk in the supply chain
* Implementing and contributing to procurement strategy
* Identifying internal process improvements
Requirements:
* Previous experience of services/indirect and materials procurement
* Experience of managing complex contracts and high value tenders
* Knowledge of medical services, consumable, and devices beneficial
* Strong relationship management skills
* Knowledge of eProcurement
* At least part-qualified in CIPS
