We are currently recruiting for a Pensions Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with a strong understanding of Defined Benefit pensions and benefit calculations.
The Role
As a Pensions Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of pension schemes, ensuring members receive a high-quality service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering Defined Benefit pension schemes
- Processing pension contributions, payments and member transactions
- Completing accurate pension benefit calculations
- Processing member records and maintaining accurate information
- Responding to member and client queries by telephone, email and written correspondence
- Preparing and checking pension calculations and documentation
- Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Supporting compliance with pension legislation, processes and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders to resolve queries
- Managing your own workload and prioritising tasks effectively
- Supporting the wider team with general pension administration as required
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working with Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes
- Experience with pension benefit calculations
- GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C / Level 4 or above in Maths and English
- Studying towards or have completed CPC, DPA or CPA
- Competent in using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work using your own initiative
- The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes within the workplace
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your own workload
- A professional, positive and customer-focused approach
