MOT Technician - #2137924

Vibe Recruit are currently working with a well-established automotive business who are looking for an experienced MOT Tester / Mechanic to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Mechanic who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

You'll be working on a variety of vehicles, carrying out MOTs, diagnostics, servicing and repairs within a friendly and supportive workshop environment.

The Role

As an MOT Tester / Mechanic, your duties will include:

• Carrying out MOT tests in line with current DVSA standards.
• Inspecting vehicles and accurately diagnosing mechanical faults.
• Completing servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Carrying out brake, suspension and general mechanical repairs.
• Using diagnostic equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keeping accurate records of MOTs, inspections and repairs.
• Advising customers on any additional work or repairs required.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and passionate about the automotive industry.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanic / Vehicle Technician.
• An MOT Tester qualification is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience.
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in your workmanship.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• A full UK driving licence.

Experienced Mechanics without an MOT Tester qualification may also be considered, with training potentially available for the right candidate.
