The Strategic Finance Senior Manager will play a key role in supporting the assessment (including financial modelling and due diligence) execution and integration of acquisitions across the Group.
Working closely with senior finance and business leaders, the role will help evaluate opportunities, coordinate finance workstreams through the transaction lifecycle and support delivery of value from completed acquisitions.

Description
Acquisition Evaluation and Deal Support
- Support the financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities, including analysis of historic performance, forecast assumptions, cash generation and key value drivers.
- Build and maintain robust valuation, investment return and acquisition models. Leverage latest forecasting approaches include AI as appropriate.
- Prepare clear, concise financial analysis and presentation materials for senior management, Board and investor audiences.
- Assess strategic fit, synergy opportunities and value creation potential across target businesses.
- Perform scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and downside risk assessment to support investment decisions.
- Coordinate finance due diligence workstreams and manage data and analysis requests with internal teams and external advisers.
- Review quality of earnings, working capital, cash flow, debt and key balance sheet risks as part of transaction assessment.
- Evaluate the quality of financial reporting, controls and underlying business performance of target companies.
- Identify key transaction risks, issues and mitigation actions.
- Support assessment of reporting and accounting considerations where relevant including supporting post-acquisition purchase price accounting.
- Support execution activity, including review of transaction terms, completion accounts and purchase price adjustment mechanisms.
- Work with treasury and wider finance teams to assess funding, liquidity and foreign exchange considerations associated with transactions.
- Support integration planning to ensure finance deliverables are identified early and implemented effectively.
Transaction Execution
- Support the assessment of financial terms during transaction negotiations and help evaluate their commercial implications.
- Review financial elements of transaction documentation, including completion accounts and purchase price adjustment mechanisms.
- Coordinate finance deliverables through the transaction process, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate and decision useful.
- Work closely with legal, tax, treasury, banking and due diligence advisers through to completion.
- Identify, track and mitigate executional risks
Integration and Value Creation
- Support finance integration planning and execution for completed acquisitions.
- Help establish reporting, forecasting, treasury and governance processes for acquired businesses where required.
- Monitor acquisition performance against investment cases and highlight key variances, risks and delivery issues.
- Track synergy delivery and support post-deal value creation initiatives.
- Partner with management teams to support operational improvement and EBITDA growth opportunities.
- Monitor post-acquisition earnout conditions and production of earn out statements
Stakeholder Management and Reporting
- Support preparation of acquisition evaluations, investment papers and performance updates for senior leadership, Board and investor audiences.
- Provide financial analysis for lender presentations and acquisition-related financing activities where required.
- Build strong working relationships across finance, operations and adviser teams to support efficient execution and integration.
- Contribute to wider integration and value creation initiatives as acquisition activity evolves.
Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience supporting acquisitions, transaction workstreams, due diligence and/or integration activity.
Experience in a private equity-backed, acquisitive or fast-paced commercial environment would be beneficial.
Strong financial modelling, valuation and investment appraisal skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clear and concise analysis to senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial judgement and business partnering capability.
Experience working with external advisers, including due diligence providers, is desirable.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
Experience in Transaction Services, Corporate Finance, FP&A or a similar commercially focused finance role.
