Here, you will play a key part in supporting several Directors/ Account Executives in the day-to-day servicing of a portfolio of clients. These accounts can range in complexity, with ‘bread & butter’ accounts being in the region of £10,000 - £25,000 commission and fee income, with some cases being many times this. Clients are from a range of industry sectors such as Manufacturing, Retail and Construction.

Duties will include preparing renewals, marketing risks & re-broking exercises, dealing with mid-term amendments, negotiating with insurers, and preparing a variety of reports and documentation. For those who are joining as a senior member of the team, you will also be expected to help less-experienced colleagues on an ad hoc-basis, and share best practice, promote the activities of the CII and BIBA etc. Regardless of your seniority, there is a really open culture here, where everyone’s’ voices are heard, and you will be encouraged to contribute to ideas – whether that be for fun initiatives for the team, or how to deliver heightened levels of client service.

Whilst we are keen to hear from Senior Account Handlers and those who have dealt with more complex risks, we welcome applications from Account Handlers and Brokers with all levels of experience. What is more important is attitude, enthusiasm and a passion for client service. You should also have good IT skills, a high degree of accuracy and an eye for detail.

As you may expect from a modern, forward-thinking broker, this is a hybrid opportunity, where you will be encouraged to work from home several days per week, if desired.

This broker is based on the outskirts of Garforth, minutes from the M1 and just a little further from the M62, East Leeds Orbital Road & A64, and has extensive, free on-site parking. The Springs Shopping Centre is just next door, and Leeds city centre is a convenient commute.
