Position: Workshop Plant Fitter
Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 5:00pm
Salary: £44,642
Overtime paid at 1.4

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join a large and reputable plant company. This is a workshop-based role maintaining, repairing, and refurbishing a wide range of heavy plant machinery and equipment, ensuring all machinery is maintained to the highest standards and is safe and fit for purpose.

The Role:

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing on heavy plant machinery and equipment
• Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs
• Complete component rebuilds, strip-downs, and refurbishment of machinery and plant equipment
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools
• Carry out safety inspections and pre-hire checks
• Ensure all equipment complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
• Maintain accurate service and repair records

The Ideal Candidate:

• Professionally recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle/Plant Maintenance and Repair, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent
• Relevant experience in a similar role within the last 2 years
• Experience working on heavy plant machinery or similar equipment within a workshop environment
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
• Confident with fault finding and diagnostics
• Full UK driving licence
• CSCS Card advantageous but not essential
