Quality Assurance Manager - #2140557

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a growing organisation in Leeds to recruit a Quality Manager to join the business at an exciting stage of its development.

The business has grown significantly, and as a result, they are looking to strengthen their Quality Assurance function and further develop their management systems.

This is not a traditional product quality or inspection-focused position. The role is centred around Quality Assurance, ISO 9001, supplier and customer relationships, continuous improvement and the development of the company's wider management systems.

A key part of the role will be maintaining and developing the existing ISO 9001 system, supporting the company's EcoVadis requirements and taking the lead on the journey towards ISO 14001 certification.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Managing internal and external audits and ensuring continued certification
• Developing and improving quality policies, procedures and processes
• Working closely with customers to understand and manage quality requirements
• Managing customer complaints, corrective actions and continuous improvement
• Developing and managing supplier quality processes and relationships
• Working with suppliers to resolve issues and improve performance
• Supporting the company's EcoVadis requirements and sustainability objectives
• Leading the development and implementation of an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
• Monitoring quality performance through relevant KPIs and reporting
• Driving a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards, legislation and customer requirements
• Acting as the key point of contact for quality-related matters
• Providing guidance and support to colleagues across the business
• Supporting the organisation as it continues to grow and develop

• Previous experience in a Quality Assurance role within logistics, distribution or engineering environment
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience managing and maintaining a Quality Management System
• Experience with internal and external audits
• Strong supplier and customer relationship management skills
• Experience managing corrective actions and continuous improvement
