Corporate Tax Manager

£55,000 to £65,000 per annum (DOE) | Permanent, full time

A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds is looking for a CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified Corporate Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied portfolio across compliance and advisory work.

The client base spans a range of sectors and business sizes, keeping the work technically interesting, and the firm has a strong Yorkshire reputation for the quality of its corporate tax work. There's a supported route to Senior Manager for someone who combines technical ability with commercial awareness. Crowe Watson Recruitment knows the Leeds market well at this level.

What's the day to day of the role:

• Managing a portfolio of corporate clients across compliance and advisory services
• Advising on corporation tax, group structures, reorganisations and tax planning
• Reviewing corporate tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff
• Developing and maintaining trusted client relationships
• Mentoring junior members of the tax team and supporting their development
• Contributing to business development activity and proposals

Required skills and qualifications:

• CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified with a strong corporate tax background gained in practice
• At least five years' experience within a UK Practice environment
• Proven experience managing a corporate portfolio across compliance and advisory work
• Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation and current developments
• Excellent client facing skills, commercially minded and proactive
