Salary: from £30 per hour

Reed FE is seeking a dedicated and supportive Engineering Lecturer or Apprenticeship trainer to provide cover support at an educational establishment in Leeds.

As an Engineering Lecturer / Engineering Apprenticeship Trainer, you will deliver engaging and relevant training to learners and apprentices across a range of engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering lessons, workshops, and training sessions.
• Support apprentices and learners on placements working towards engineering qualifications and standards.
• Assess, monitor, and track learner progress against agreed targets.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and training resources aligned with curriculum and industry requirements.
• Support learners in developing both technical and employability skills.
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to student welfare.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience teaching, training, assessing, mentoring, or coaching within an engineering environment.
• Relevant engineering qualification in disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related subject.
• Teaching, assessing, or training qualification.
• Experience working within Further Education, apprenticeship delivery, or vocational training environments.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
